Introducing Consciousness Engineering as Our Newest Category in Energy Spirituality™.
Although you’ll find several previous articles where I’ve used this skill set, hello! Today comes our official announcement: Effective immediately, CONSCIOUSNESS ENGINEER will be one of the major categories used here, at this blog.
Consciousness Engineering is a name for this field.
While Consciousness Engineer is the name for a person who does this kind of work. A person like me, the founder of Energy Spirituality.
First of All, What Does Consciousness Engineering Mean?
Let’s start with the big picture. Consciousness Engineering is a specialty that could — maybe should — be required of all of today’s spiritual teachers. And also energy healers. Plus, Consciousness Engineering can inform the work of experts in emotional growth. Such as psychotherapists and life coaches.
Perhaps this meta-field could even help college professors and other thought leaders in fields like psychology and neuroscience.
Why? In order to protect potentially vulnerable idealists. Because it’s time to educate some of today’s influencers. Too many well meaning influencers are energetically illiterate… Inadvertently they’re causing harm. They have no idea, yet, how they’re encouraging millions of idealistic people to, in effect, shred their consciousness.
In general, too many side trips are advocted today. As if they’re the sacred gospel of personal growth. Side trips like what?
- Teaching techniques, such as Boundary Work techniques, that are seriously flawed.
- Or promoting work from famous members of the Enlightenment Establishment, when that work won’t really help students or readers one bit.
Exactly What Does a Consciousness Engineer DO?
This skill can protect you as a consumer of techniques. Also, when cocreating new techniques, Consciousness Engineering helps the quality of every Energy Spirituality™ technique or service… To meet our highest standard.
Because a Consciousness Engineer explores consequences for your personal consciousness. Which consequences flow from doing a particular technique designed for spiritual growth? Or spiritual awakening. Or any other form of personal development!
Next week I aim to publish the clearest example yet of what a Consciousness Engineer does. Before then, I realized that today’s intro to Consciousness Engineering… This needs to come first so that I can take you with me, Blog-Buddies, when officially bringing the need for this skill into view. (Maybe even, some day, into mainstream recognition and respect.) So here we go.

Why can it matter to you? First and foremost…
Since the Work of a Consciousness Engineer Is Unique
When you think of doing any technique for personal development, probably you think of steps. Right?
Like a recipe. Except that, for techniques that strongly impact consciousness, what are the “ingredients”? Essentially, the steps of a technique involve something you might:
- Think
- Or aim to feel
- Or do.
- Maybe there’s a particular way that you pay attention to yourself.
Most important, in this new Age of Awakening, a Consciousness Engineer explores where a practitioner of any given technique will… Likely… Position consciousness. (Note: At this link, scroll down to the turquoise box.)
Altogether, what we Consciousness Engineers do… goes beyond listing the steps of a technique. We explore the likely impact from each step of that technique. “What would this likely do to a person’s consciousness?” Both immediate and long-term consequences are involved.
And, by this, I don’t mean consequences for some lab rat. I mean consequences for standup people like YOU.

Energy Spirituality serves individuals. Helping the growing number of our readers, students, and clients.
By contrast, Consciousness Engineering is a field that goes beyond the services and teachings of Energy Spirituality.
Consciousness Engineers can help all leaders of today’s Enlightenment Establishment to become more accountable. Adding a degree of rigor that is essential, now that all of us are living in the Age of Awakening.
Differently Put
Consciousness Engineering is more of a process than a specific body of knowledge. Although Consciousness Engineers like me can develop some of that body of knowledge through books, blogposts, even blog comments.
A prime example is “Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening.” You see, I cocreated much of this leading-edge information as a Consciousness Engineer. For instance, calling out members of today’s Enlightenment Establishment to develop certain new skills. Such as, gaining at least enough energetic literacy to tell when they are (unintentionally) leading their students into spiritual side trips!
Which Skills Are Required for Consciousness Engineering?
Clearly, we Consciousness Engineers need a MINIMUM of Stage 3 Energetic Literacy.
Only, for this kind of work, we must develop more skill than that. To give you a somewhat more specific idea, which skills do I have available to use for energetic literacy? In case you’re curious, the article at the link just provided shows up to Stage 21. Only that article was published in 2017. Kind of outdated by now. However, I don’t see much point in writing articles like that, just to give you that kind of update. Not when we could be sharing articles about innovations with practical implications for helping you!

Do a Good Job as a Consciousness Engineer?
First and foremost, if you’re an empath, Empath Empowerment® is essential. Including relevant experience from doing Skilled Empath Merge.
Next, how about quality knowledge of energy healing skills — and types of STUFF? Seems to me, that’s also essential. Therefore, professional quality Consciousness Engineeering would require background in the equivalent of Energy Spirituality ENERGY HEALING. Besides that, facilitating each of the following skills with my clients has taught me a great deal as a Consciousness Engineer. Perhaps, thought leaders, skills like these can become part of your education as well.
