Women today are quitting Trump, and also his Evangelical Churches. Maybe you’re one among this huge group of believers. Why might Energy Spirituality become the next step in your faith journey?

First of All, What’s with this Trend for Evangelical Women?

“Evangelical Women Abandoning Trump” screams a headline in the New York Times. At least, this headline — and article by Jeremy W. Peters — screamed to me.

It seemed so unexpected. Moreover, that article contains shocking quotes. Such as ones that I’ll be sharing with you in this article. In case, like me, you wonder: Why are Ex-Evangelicals a thing now?

Also, I’d like to quote from trend-watcher Sarah Stankorb. Like me, now… she’s a writer for Medium.com. (More about that “like me” part about Rose Rosetree also blogging on Medium? See the end of this post.) Back to Sarah, she’s written this illuminating article: “These Evangelical Women Are Abandoning Trump and the Church.” By which Sarah means, Ex-Evangelicals are abandoning…

And Including YOU in this article. As well as these two fabulous sources.

More media quotes will appear than usual for one of my articles. I’m including them WHY? In order to give every one of you readers exactly this: A chance to find this article relevant to your life right now. Whether you’re:

  1. An Ex-Evangelical, aka Exvangelical
  2. An Evangelical for now, but you just might be curious about your alternatives
  3. A regular lurker at this blog
  4. Or an active, commenting, Blog-Buddy here at “Deeper Perception Made Practical.
  5. Maybe you’re “Other.” Somehow you got to this one-of-a-kind blog. So welcome!

As always, I recommend that you COMMENT while reading. Whenever something makes you go “Aha!” Or “I disagree.” Or “Tell me more.”

Blog-Buddies here can tell you. The more actively you participate here, the more you’ll receive from what I offer here. Now, speaking of “here”….

Second, What Is “Energy Spirituality”?

Short answer: It’s my jam. Normal answer:

Energy Spirituality helps people like you with emotional growth and spiritual awakening. Using energy healing techniques that work now.

#1. What Ex-Evangelicals Can Find in Energy Spirituality: No ATMs in the Lobby

Do you remember when you first learned that megachurches brought in ATMs? Were you as horrified as I was? My immediate thought: Jesus overturned the tables of the money changers in the temple. How can clergy who claim to follow Jesus desecrate their own church?

But then, Catholic Churches and Protestant Churches aren’t just churches any more, are they? They’re Movements.

Sooner or later, you may have noticed, they’re also cults. Just as Trump’s followers are cult-like. For instance, here’s an article about those who love this wicked man. Although probably a breaker of all 10 Commandments. And definitely incapable of “Love your neighbor as thyself.” Yet worshiped by some as “The Second Coming of Christ.

As described by Sarah Stankorb

A turning point for Ex-Evangelical Katie Loveland came when…

[Her] church’s all-male board “decided what was needed in our church was someone to walk around on Sundays and carry a gun.” Loveland, who works in public health, was helping out in the church nursery, where older kids would wander in and out to play with the babies. The board’s decision made Loveland contemplate the risk of harm posed by an unlicensed, armed person in the church, primed to shoot.

Stankorb observes further:

The churches they once loved continue to support an administration they see as immoral.

I’d add: The Religious Right Movement in America is Christian in name only.

By Contrast, Energy Spirituality is not a “Movement.”

More like a buffet. With really tasty, nutritious food. All the books, workshops, and sessions have this in common: I co-created them with God.

And if you know me much at all, you know this. I’m not a saleswoman. I’m a teacher. Truth is my passion. Every day of my life, I aim to bring more truth into this world.

Helping readers like you to discover what’s true and helpful for you. Noteworthy, have you noticed? That’s truth without a capital T. Instead, I share what seems true to me; you get to decide if that works with your own sacred self-authority.

#2. What Ex-Evangelicals Can Find in Energy Spirituality: Nothing Cult-Like

Very likely, your church has changed. Until now it’s at a point where you can’t stomach the alliance with Trump. Or the naked power grabs. Or the greed.

But all along, that church you once loved contained cult-like elements. Only you didn’t see them. According to that article by Mr. Peters: “At times, including this week, it can seem as if the determination of many on the religious right to defend the president rises with inverse proportion to how most of the rest of the nation feels.”

Quite typical of cults, actually. Cult members become very adept at interpreting away reality.

By Contrast, Energy Spirituality helps people to get over cults.

It’s one of my specialties, facilitating personal sessions with clients. Over the years I’ve helped many clients to exit from cults. Whether religious cults, sex cults, meditation cults, etc.

Once I was involved in a Movement myself: Teaching Transcendental Meditation for Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. (See “Bigger than All the Night Sky” for details. Like when I read a poem that made the guru weep. This memoir of spiritual awakening describes how that involvement started for me.)

In short, I’ve learned firsthand about how cults can sneak up on a person. More important, I learned about exiting cults. And how to help others.

Equally important, as I helped Energy Spirituality to develop over the years, I knew what to avoid. Purposely, I avoided anything cult-like.

For instance, you can read any page at my website with the perspective: “Is Rose trying to start some new religion?” I’ll think you’ll find that the answer is no. But decide for yourself. One example of how I help clients from varied religious backgrounds? Check out this article about people I’ve helped to move into spiritual Enlightenment. (That is, become start to use their full potential in life.)

Especially, note the varied religious backgrounds. To this day, some of these folks in Enlightenment are more involved in religion than others. Some are “spiritual but not religious.” Definitely, being “Christian” isn’t required for spiritual awakening or Enlightenment.

#3. What Ex-Evangelicals Can Find in Energy Spirituality: No Worship Trap

Loving God is the most beautiful thing I know. Many Blog-Buddies here also have a passion for God. Just as many Ex-Evangelicals used to go to church mainly for social reasons. Yet, others of you felt such a calling to know God.

And that’s why it could have been such a wrenching decision to stop going to “God’s house.” Only the place where you live right now? That’s God’s house too. Believing otherwise insults you. Also it kind of insults God, when you think about it.

Unfortunately, many of you were taught that worshiping God was the only way to draw closer to God. Through church, you saw first-hand the slippery-slope descent of many into worshiping Trump.

Just how slippery that slope?

The New York Times article cites two polls by the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI).

In 2018 when PRRI conducted a poll that asked about recent killings of black men by the police, 70 percent of white evangelicals said they were isolated incidents rather than reflective of a broader pattern.

The following year another PRRI poll asked white, evangelical Trump supporters if there was anything he could do to lose their support. Thirty-one percent of them said he could do almost anything and they still wouldn’t turn their backs on him.

Seems to me, that’s a pretty hard price to pay in terms of integrity. And for what? Promises of Heaven and righteousness from church leaders who, themselves, lack integrity.

By Contrast, Energy Spirituality does not use worship as an excuse for lying.

As for worship, that’s a la carte. Totally personal: Whether and why you do it. Or how you do it. Sometimes I’ll use my personal Technique Time to pray or sing hymns, etc. etc. that’s personal. But what will you find if you benefit from any of the four main specialties of Energy Spirituality?

If you have a personal session for Energy Spirituality ENERGY READING

I’ll co-create with God. Your version of God. Using tested skills, often trademarked skills. Known to be effective.

If you have a personal session for Energy Spirituality ENERGY HEALING:

I’ll co-create with God. Your version of God. Using tested skills, often trademarked skills. Known to be effective.

If you’d like me to help you as an Empath Coach?

That would be smart. Quite a contrast to other things being taught in the name of Empath Empowerment® ! And yes, every aspect of that system? Co-created with God.

Finally, what if you’d like me to help you as an Enlightenment Coach?

Also a smart move, if you’re interested. Definitely different from religious teachings. Also, different from what most Enlightenment Teachers today are offering. As for whether or not I co-create every aspect of that with God? Ha, you guessed the answer to that one, right?

#4. What Ex-Evangelicals Can Find in Energy Spirituality: Not Fear-Based

For a religion that’s supposed to be about love and following Jesus? Pretty shocking how much of it is really about fear of Hell, Satan, being tricked, etc.

If you have summoned up the spiritual courage to leave your old church, congratulations! Could be you’ve left a form of Hell-on-Earth. And I’m not kidding. Leaving the sham of Evangelical churches? That’s becoming increasingly popular. According to that courageous article by Sarah Stankorb in Medium:

In an analysis conducted by political scientist Ryan Burge at Eastern Illinois University, between 2011 and 2019, about one in 10 men quit identifying as evangelical Christians, and nearly 17% of women rejected their former evangelical identity. Starting in 2016, online movements like #exvangelical and #emptythepews organized cohorts of millennial evangelicals who were questioning and deconstructing their church’s worldviews. In October 2019, Pew Research Center released data showing that the portion of Americans identifying as Christians shrank in the past decade from 77% to 65%. Less than half of millennials now call themselves Christians; 40% call themselves atheist, agnostic, or “nothing in particular.”

What do you want to bet, those Exvangelicals are now experiencing more personal growth? Maybe even spiritual awakening!

Energy Spirituality is a proven way to overcome religious fears and hurts.

Also, to help with personal growth + spiritual awakening.

Granted, not “proven” due to scientific research in some lab. Simply bringing results. So far I’ve facilitated over 10,000 sessions for Energy Spirituality clients. In the process, I’ve helped many to let go of religious fears.

  • Here’s an example that some of you readers may relate to. Complete with audio files from a recording with LIANE, a client who graciously allowed me to share with you. Probing the aura of a big-shot Evangelical.
  • And for contrast, here’s another set of recordings, only this one may uplift you. JULIE’S experience was more spiritually beautiful than she knew, before our research.

I have a hunch you’ve heard it said, “The truth shall set you free.” Turns out, energetic literacy — such as I can teach you to do for yourself — can sure help with discernment. Definitely setting us free from illusions!

#5. What Ex-Evangelicals Can Find in Energy Spirituality: No Faith Required

Have you sometimes agonized over your faith? Maybe it would help you to know that Jesus taught during the Age of Faith. And your church was established during the Age of Faith. Most important, that Age of Faith ended during your lifetime. To be precise, on 12/21/12.

Now we’re living in the Age of Awakening. So many of the old institutions and beliefs are losing followers. Allowing those followers to align with what works now. You know, in the days since aspirin was invented. Unlike the “good old days.”

Many religious believers today continue to struggle over “tests of faith” that oops! Aren’t necessarily tests of faith at all. But instead, you’ve been asked to overlook things that you knew to be wrong. And then call that “having faith.”

For instance, if you follow politics at this time of Black Lives Matter

According to Jeremy Peters in the New York Times:

Mr. Trump’s defenders on the religious right claimed they had no problem with an elaborate photo stunt in which the president had a park near the White House cleared of hundreds of peaceful protesters so he could walk across the street to a church that had been set on fire the night before and display a Bible in front of the cameras.

“Offended? Not at all,” declared Franklin Graham, a prominent evangelical leader and the son of Rev. Billy Graham who was known as the pastor to the presidents. Writing on Facebook, Mr. Graham expressed the indignation that was common among many of the president’s supporters in religious conservative circles. “This made an important statement that what took place the night before in the burning, looting and vandalism,” he said, “had to end.”

So did Evangelicals have to use their faith to believe this double-talk? No, they could simply have used the brains that God gave them.

By Contrast, Energy Spirituality isn’t about faith.

For example, you can be quite skeptical, when booking a session. Just, please, don’t lie to me during your session. Or test me. Simply give me a chance to help you. Following that, decide for yourself about whether or not you get results.

You see, Energy Spirituality is about bringing you results… in your own terms. Also empowering you. Which could could be considered the opposite of surrendering or worshiping or tormenting yourself in order to become more acceptable to God.

One thing your old church probably had right, amid all the clutter: God does love you.

I believe that, anyway. And some of you Blog-Buddies might wish to COMMENT about whether you believe that now. Or whether something else is more important to you than whether or not God loves you. Like, maybe, by now have you come to like yourself?

In Conclusion, Engage!

Energy Spirituality offers Ex-Evangelicals a different way to alleviate to life’s pain. You’re cordially invited to COMMENT. Now, here’s the deal.

  • Since some of you have stories.
  • While some of you mainly have feelings right now. Pretty strong feelings!
  • Whatever you’d like to share here is welcome, as always.
