Today I’m announcing an exciting new online workshop series about creativity. Yes, it’s launching today.

However, I Decided to Lead off with Something Less Upbeat

Because it’s important to appreciate that creativity has great power.

  • For instance, creativity has the power to bring clarity. Or, alternatively, bring confusion. Even a bit of unnecessary pain.
  • Expressing creativity can feel like awe and rainbows. For everyone concerned! But not necessarily. More like rain than rainbows….

Just so happens, I’ve got a vivid and current example for you. So I’ll lead off with a teaching tale about the latter. Following that, I’ll circle back to you and your own creativity. And how I’d love to help you with that. :-)

Incidentally, If You’ve Got a Seatbelt Handy, Maybe You’d Like to Fasten It Now.

Then, If You Dare, Put Yourself in My Place.

See If You’d Have Been Shocked

“Did you know that a story about your Uncle Shoichi was published in a book?” My Cousin Gladys was doing the asking. We hadn’t talked for a while.

But after the death of my sister this year, I got in touch with all my relatives. BTW, below I’ll reconstruct my conversation with Gladys (to the best of my recollection). Definitely I’m not supplying a transcript.

“Really?” I asked Gladys. Undoubtedly he was a colorful character, worth many a story. Shoichi Yoshikawa was a Princeton professor who specialized in nuclear fusion. Late in life, he married Gladys’s mother, my Aunt Ellie. (Some of you Blog-Buddies met her in my memoir of spiritual seeking, “Bigger than All the Night Sky.”)

“Really!” Gladys assured me. “This story about my family was even published in an anthology.” “But I don’t know if you’ll like it,” she warned. “His daughter Mako, from Shoichi’s first marriage, wrote the story. I found it pretty shocking. You could say, she revealed things that I never knew. To put it mildly!”

What Was So Shocking, to Me, about Mako’s Creativity?

Of course I bought the anthology, then read “My Father’s Women” by Mako Yoshikawa.

Most shocking to me PERSONALLY?

That would have been daughter Mako’s unnecessary descriptions of Shoichi’s behavior when psychotic. Gratuitous information, included for what, shock value? Ethically, this writer would never shame a person that way. Especially my own family.

Most shocking about MY AUNT ELLIE?

Ostensibly this story was about her. Surely Shoichi’s last wife counted as one of “My Father’s Women.”

Sadly, what did I find in the Ellie parts of this story? Nothing. Zip and zilcho! Strangely I found nothing that resonated with me as insightful. Frankly, not a single detail captured the personality of this exceptionally vivid woman. Or even attempted to. She could have been a piece of furniture sold at a flea market.

Most shocking to me as a WRITER?

In this story, Ms. Yoshikawa set herself a question. But never answered it.

You see, she asked, “Out of all those girlfriends and wives… who did he love the most?”

Was it purposeful, how the author failed to answer her own question? Probably not, due to the entire story’s emotional distance.

Instead Mako wrote an intellectual exercise. Seems to me, she jumped through writerly hoops.

What came as NO SURPRISE?

All the emphasis on how intellectually brilliant they were, all those Yoshikawas. Like the author, an English professor. And her sisters, also Ph.D.s.

How nice for them all. Except they might have considered living with heart and soul, not just their fancy intellects.

And Yes, You Just Read the Word “Soul”

Now, here’s the point: Reading that half-dead, academically sanctioned sample of “creativity” — ouch! This made me more eager than ever to make available…

Announcing Creativity Secrets with Soul — The Latest Energy Spirituality Workshop

Just released today! Details right near the top of the post, Blog-Buddies, for links to:

  • Both the Free Intro.
  • And also the full online workshop, with Sweet 16 Lessons.
  • Links to both are near the top of this post.

Below I’ll summarize why my distinctive approach could help YOU.

This Creativity Workshop Brings More than Jumping through Hoops

Writing professors aren’t the only experts who train their creativity students to jump through hoops.

You might have noticed this if you’ve watched “Dancing with the Stars” or “American Idol.” Often creativity experts teach certain commercial skills.

As a result, many proud graduates do almost interchangeable performances. Unless they somehow stumble upon how to express their souls? It ain’t happening.

By contrast, “Creativity Secrets with Soul” strives to help you, as an individual, to learn skills that help you express yourself.

Perfectly compatible with professional do’s and don’ts. But helping you to avoid letting these you cover up. Namely, cover up who you, the creator, really are.

Creativity Workshop Brings More to Your Creations.

Due to Engaging Your Soul

Of course your soul matters! Can’t you tell when somebody:

  • Sings with soul
  • Cooks with soul
  • Loves with soul

Quite often I help Energy Spirituality clients to express their souls. For instance, some of you have experienced (or learned to do) Soul Thrill® Aura Research.

By definition, psychics can’t do that. (If you don’t yet know why, ask in the COMMENTS section at the version of this post at my main blog.)

Creativity Workshop Includes Cocreating with God

Religious? Not necessarily.

  • Some of my creativity students are religious.
  • Some are exvangelicals.
  • Others are spiritual but not religious.

No wonder, there’s a certain flexibility when I teach you to Cocreate with God. Same deal as when you sit in session with me, starting any kind of Energy Spirituality session. There, too, I’ll cocreate with God. Like, always!

Noteworthy: that’s always your version of God.

Which Reminds Me. Important to Know

Since this New Workshop Might Be Your First Energy Spirituality Anything!

Be sure to ask your questions at my main blog. Everyone’s invited. Also find a ton of free articles at my website, like today’s just-published info about the new Free Intro — Creativity Secrets with Soul Workshop. I’m always learning over at “Deeper Perception Made Practical.” And you’re invited to learn as well.

In Conclusion

Welcome, all of you Creatives. Especially those of you who yearn to use your full potential as Creatives.

I just might be able to help.
