The purpose of this article is to make your spiritual progress easier.

Well-meant promises & feelgood ideas can throw you off your path. Learn some useful truths today.

So you’re starting to notice some spiritual awakening?

Hello! Actually a lot of advice on spiritual awakening is wrong. Even dangerous.

Look I’m an experienced Enlightenment teacher who has helped people like you. Really helped them. Not confused them.

Let me help you today.

Because the Stakes are High

And not just because spiritual awakening can feel good. But because we’re all living at a time when millions of people can move into Spiritual Enlightenment. The real deal!

But you won’t get there if you get caught up in a side trip. In this article I’ll give you seven examples that might be important for you to understand.

I hope you know this, Blog-Buddies. Getting advice from a spiritual teacher is not like collecting cute clothing from wherever. Nor like collecting tips for your favorite hobby. Please click on this next link. Because it can inform you about my qualifications to serve you as a Enlightenment teacher.

For comparison I’ll be responding to this article about Spiritual Awakening. From a much bigger business than this Energy Spirituality blog. Where does this info come from? Frankly, it’s a slick, clickbait-rich website. In my experience, the articles on diet and beauty are excellent. As for the rest? Not so much.

The Main Journalist Is NOT an Expert in Spiritual Enlightenment

Her name is Sarah Regan. Clearly she’s an excellent writer. Especially if you’re looking for clickbait. Followed by an easy read.

Otherwise, what are her qualifications to advise you or anybody else about your spiritual evolution? She’s a Spirituality & Relationships Writer, but that doesn’t make her an expert at either field. Actually, she’s simply a registered yoga instructor. Also, in college she studied broadcasting and mass communication.

But She’s Interviewing Two Experts, Right?

Of course you’d expect that. Because this article is supposed to tell you “Signs You’re Going Through A Spiritual Awakening + How To Embrace It.”

One interviewee is “spiritual author” Shannon Kaiser. Expertise? She’s a best-selling author of five books on the psychology of happiness and fulfillment.

Does that make her an authority on spiritual awakening or Enlightenment? Hardly.

Another interviewee is a psychic, Tanya Carroll Richardson.

Important to know, if you’re on a spiritual path:

Psychic or intuitive work is a side trip. Automatically it will take you on a road that’s totally different from spiritual evolution.

Oops, oops, and oops!!!

Now that I’ve Introduced You to these Three Sources,

Let’s Explore

Clearly likeable from this article, all three! Let’s acknowledge that these women seem like sweet people. However, not one of them is the least bit qualified for advising you on spiritual awakening.

So let’s have some educational fun. In order to bring you discernment that could make a huge difference with your spiritual evolution. How about this? Let’s look at seven (dubious) signs of spiritual awakening from the aforementioned article.

  • First I’ll summarize what is supposed to be a sign of spiritual awakening.
  • Then I’ll share my very different perspective as an Enlightenment teacher.
  • Finally, what’s more helpful?

Let’s get started.

Spiritual Awakening Side Trips #1. Detachment

According to Kaiser, “you may feel “disconnected and detached from the things and people you used to enjoy.” And that’s supposed to be a sign of spiritual awakening.

According to Enlightenment Teacher Rose Rosetree

Spiritual awakening doesn’t necessary lead to feeling detached.

Even less helpful, detachment need not be a valid spiritual path. Nor cause to celebrate. As I’ve seen in some of my Energy Spirituality clients for personal sessions.

Detachment can result from many problems that have nothing to do with making great spiritual progress. Such as:

  1. Eating a vegan diet.
  2. Smoking weed.
  3. Spiraling into the consciousness lifestyle of spiritual addiction. (After you click on that link, please scroll down to the turquoise box.)
  4. Cycling ever-deeper into the consciousness lifestyle of psychological overwork.
  5. Following cult beliefs that lead to detachment from reality.

What’s More Helpful?

Engage in life. If you can’t, seek professional help.

Spiritual Awakening Side Trips #2. Extra Synchronicities

That would include “seeing angel numbers all the time.

According to Enlightenment Teacher Rose Rosetree

Most commonly, folks fall in love with synchronicities when they’re paying attention to energy. Not human reality.

You can learn more about why this is happening to many folks. And why it’s a problem. I’d recommend that.

Just don’t confuse that with moving in the direction of spiritual anything.

Instead, to this spiritual teacher, it’s a warning signal about not adjusting well to this new Age of Awakening. This book can help.

What’s More Helpful?

Set goals in life. Then pursue them.

And not energy goals. Human goals. As a result you’ll evolve faster spiritually.

Spiritual Awakening Side Trips #3. “Your Teachers Find You”

Adding to the questionable advice given in this article, what counts as related to spiritual awakening? If your spiritual teachers may “appear everywhere with perfect timing to help you.”

According to Enlightenment Teacher Rose Rosetree

Look, did you ever smoke weed? You’d feel the exact same spaced-out enthusiasm. Until you’d get the munchies… And then have to stuff your face.

Designating random people as your “spiritual teachers” is a sure sign of low standards.

Quite opposite to that? ETIQUETTE. When you have the privilege of studying with a qualified enlightenment teacher? Make your best use of this important spiritual opportunity.

What’s More Helpful?

Instead of reading clickbait advice from questionable sources? Study with one spiritual teacher at a time. And make it your business to find an authentic spiritual teacher.

Spiritual Awakening Side Trips #4. Intuitive Experiences

Richardson — remember, how she’s a professional intuitive? Surprisingly or not, she considers psychic work to be spiritual. Naturally, then she considers energy sensitivity to be a sign of spiritual awakening. As described in this article, spiritual awakening means “having newly heightened intuition.”

According to Enlightenment Teacher Rose Rosetree

Hardly rare, these days, noticing energy. Or talking about it.

Look, a lot of folks today feel very special, due to their energy sensitivity.

Only that’s no sign of spiritual awakening. Since the Shift into the Age of Awakening, everybody who’d like to be energy sensitive… IS.

Incidentally, if psychic work were equivalent to spiritual awakening, hello! Wouldn’t psychics do great when folks propose them for research about Spiritual Enlightenment? Maybe you know that I can do free research for you about that.

If you check out what I’ve found, you’re not going to find psychics are doing well. Granted, some might be making a ton of money these days. Instead, though, I mean “doing well” with their spiritual evolution. And their consciousness lifestyles.

Quite the Opposite Is True.

  1. Check out what I found out about some of your favorite psychics… over at this list.
  2. If you don’t find their names there, go to this newer list of Enlightenment Nominees.
  3. And if they’re on neither list, you can nominate them for free research. At least, if they’re public figures. No, I won’t check out your grannie at this public blog. ;-)

What’s More Helpful?

Avoid energy talk. Instead talk about real people. Read newspapers of record. Once again, you’ll evolve faster that way.

Because human life isn’t garbage, compared to doing energy talk.

Spiritual Awakening Side Trips #5. Wanting to Be of Service

According to Richardson, spiritual awakening leads to service. For instance, “It’s important to you that you have a cause you can get behind to make your life feel purposeful.”

According to Enlightenment Teacher Rose Rosetree

Perhaps you’d be interested in a pattern I’ve found over the past 40 years. As a result of helping 20,000+ Energy Spirituality clients.

In my experience, this urgency has nothing to do with spiritual awakening. Good news is, when my clients have less STUFF stuck in their auras, they feel less pressure to “Learn their Sacred Purpose.”

Actually, when reading this article I did begin to wonder. How much experience with Enlightenment teaching do these three “experts” have? I mean, helping real-live clients.

For sure, that’s the basis of every single article I write at this Energy Spirituality Blog.

What’s More Helpful?

Make every day count. Humanly, count.

Spiritual Awakening Side Trips #6. Spirituality Becomes More Important

According to Richardson, the intuitive: “The desire to find meaning and fulfillment within your spirituality will likely become one of your biggest priorities.”

According to Enlightenment Teacher Rose Rosetree

One problem with going to psychics is how dependent clients can become. Especially since Richardson is hardly the only psychic who believes that her work is actually spiritual. (Quite likely, she tells her clients that too. How they are getting something spiritual. Although her work is astral, not spiritual.)

Hey, all of us gain perspective on life based on our experiences. According to mine, anybody can care about God. Anybody, anywhere, any time.

I’ve been helping folks as a spiritual teacher since 1970. Therefore, it does strain my credulity that, having “spiritual awakening” today’s trendy topic. Suddenly, supposedly, the cause of seeking spiritual growth “must be” spiritual awakening.

Important to note: Spiritual awakening is definitely NOT the same thing as Spiritual Enlightenment.

What’s More Helpful?

Don’t measure your spiritual evolution by how much you care about God. Show interest in people. In life.

Not only will you evolve faster. You’ll protect yourself against looney conspiracy theories like this one.

Spiritual Awakening Side Trips #7. Newfound Spiritual Curiosity

Evidently, Richardson beliefs that a sign of a spiritual awakening is this: “Being able to stay curious about your life and the people in it, even when you’re feeling emotional.”

According to Enlightenment Teacher Rose Rosetree

Sweet idea! I’d like to say that at the outset. For many Energy Spirituality clients, including myself, have had a lifelong, passionate spiritual curiosity. One example is how my memoir is a story of spiritual awakening!

However, you won’t find one blissful experience of spiritual awakening after another. Definitely you won’t find that in “Bigger than All the Night Sky.”

Look, it’s lovely that a psychic like Richardson has discovered spiritual awakening as the cause of what? Curiosity about life. As if spiritual awakening must be the cause?

What a shame we can’t email Christopher Columbus and explain things to him. Like why he set out on a certain long ocean voyage.

What’s More Helpful?

If you care passionately about God

Or you really-really want to grow spiritually

Choose your spiritual teacher with discernment.

Yes, one spiritual teacher at a time. Learn and gain all you can from that one spiritual teacher.

If you should choose to move on, then commit to your newer teacher, and give that teacher a chance.

Do you know what a dilettante is? Spiritual dilettantes can have fun playing at Awakening. But they’re not going to reach Enlightenment that way. At least, I’ve never found that to be true. Have you?

Rose Rosetree says, “Thanks for reading. Here’s to fulfilling your heart’s desire in life — spiritually and all other ways that matter to you!”
